ARA-290 (Cibinetide) is a synthetic 11-amino acid peptide designed as a structural analog of a region of the erythropoietin (EPO) molecule. With the sequence Gln-Glu-Gln-Leu-Glu-Arg-Ala-Leu-Asn-Ser-Ser, ARA-290 represents a small peptide fragment derived from the erythropoietin Helix B sequence, structurally engineered to retain receptor binding properties without erythropoietic activity.
